Photos of our learning

In computing lessons, we have been learning to create animations and games using Scratch.

Varjak Paw goes down conscience alley... what will he decide....?

Finally, we tested a variety of materials to find out which were conductors of electricity and which were insulators.

Our next electricity task in science was to make a switch so that we could turn a light on and off. It was tricky but we did it!

We are learning about electricity in science. We discovered how to make an electrical circuit to light a bulb, buzz a buzzer, and power a motor!

We made string telephones in science to investigate how sound travels!

Exploring equivalent fractions in maths.

In history we followed ancient Egyptian techniques to mummify tomatoes!

In science we continued our topic about states of matter by investigating gases.

We had a very festive time at our Christmas party!

In year 4 we learn how to play chess! Playing chess improves memory, problem-solving skills and concentration.

We had so much fun on our Spanish day! We learned to flamenco dance, made delicious pan con tomate and sangria, took a virtual trip to Barcelona, and made art inspired by Joan Miro and flamenco dresses...

In Science, we are learning about states of matter - solids and liquids - and how they can change from one state to another. We started by observing how ice balloons turned back to a liquid state from a solid state.

We have been learning all about the author and illustrator Nick Sharratt, and we reviewed lots of his books. Here's some reviews of the books we recommend...
