I’ve always cared about education and have had the opportunity to support my three little sisters through their educational journey. I also volunteered as a learning support tutor working with children outside the normal curriculum, this was very rewarding and I enjoyed working with them in subjects they were passionate about.
I chose to become a school governor at Greenhill primary school because I believe my experience as an IT professional, coupled with my interest in education meant I have a lot to offer the school. I work in the IT architecture team at a charity in Leeds and have a lot of experience working on with data management, data governance, legislation and data mapping. I have a background in statistics so I hope to be able to support the school with any analysis that might drive improvement or give us a better understanding of educational achievement and needs.
