I have been a governor since September 2011 and volunteered because I am passionate about how valuable education is to provide the foundation to help children achieve their potential. Working with my fellow governors, I aim to help sustain and develop the school within the community to deliver the best possible outcomes.
Working in banking for over 35 years has equipped me with many skills including recruitment, operational management, project management, people skills and strategic thinking. I hope to utilise my skills and experience and work with parents and the community to support Mrs McDermid, the Governing body and the staff in fulfilling our aspirations for the future of Greenhill Primary.
I have 2 daughters who grew up in Leeds and now work in the education system in Manchester and London. Outside of school I enjoy outdoor activities such as walking, cycling and photography.
