Additional support

Additional support for families and children

As well as our in-school team, a range of additional support is available for children and their families. Some require a GP referral, some a school referral and some are self referral. Please ask if you feel your child or family would benefit from any of these.

As part of the Farnley & Armley Cluster of local schools, referrals can be made by school or your GP for:

  • Family support
  • Children's and adult counselling service
  • Farnley and Armley Children's Centres
  • 2 year old nursery places
  • Parenting support advice and courses

Other support available which school can help you access includes:

  • Youth Inclusion Project (1:1 and group work for 8 to 13 year olds at risk of anti-social behaviour or crime)
  • Counselling and psychotherapy
  • Leeds Domestic Violence Service for both men and women suffering domestic violence or abuse
