News from Y4 kids!

After watching the news about the terrible events in the USA, Lucy was upset and confused. She did some research about black American history and Martin Luther King. She has written down what she has learnt and how she feels about it and what she thinks people should do to stop things like this happening.

Evie then wrote a wonderful description of a Fluff Ball, and wrote some instructions for how to capture one!

In design and technology, we designed and made boxes to transport a rainforest animal that has been displaced by deforestation to a new home.

World Book Day 2020!

Exploring the area of shapes in maths.

In year 4, we learn how to play chess. Playing chess helps to develop children’s problem solving and reasoning, encourages them to plan ahead, and teaches them that their actions have consequences. Plus, it's great fun!

We made our own wind instruments in science! We discovered how to make different ones that made higher and lower pitched sounds and felt the vibrations!

We explored how to make different types of sounds in science- high & low, loud & quiet, continuous & repeating.

Investigating gases in our science topic 'States of Matter'.
