This week we are going to revisit semi-colons and how to use them correctly in writing. 

A semi-colon is punctuation which is used when connecting two sentences or independent clauses.

Semi-Colon Challenge!

1) How Many Places Challenge

Have a look through a book, or text from the internet, and see how many times semi-colons appear in the text. Can you find any presented elsewhere? Try searching in magazines and look on TV adverts. 


2) Show your understanding of what semi-colons are and how to use them

How are semi-colons used correctly? Create a poster, a Powerpoint presentation or even film yourself to show your understanding of what a semi-colon is and how they are used. Be as creative as possible!
