Tenses

This week we are going to revisit and focus on the different types of tense used in writing. A verb tense tells us when the action, that is being described, happened. The three main verb tenses in English are the present,  the past and the future.

Have a look at the different links and work through the questions if you can...

Tense Challenge!

Tenses are used to explain when an action has been done. Can you create your own way of explaining your understanding of the three different tense types (past, present and future tense)? You could create a poster, a Powerpoint presentation or even film yourself and your understanding. You could even create a board game with tense challenges included to play with your family.

Take a look at the examples below to help you. When you have finished, we would love to see how you have understood the different types of tense - email them to y6@greenhill.leeds.sch.uk so we can take a look and upload some to the website!
