Writing

Education City!

We have set up usernames and passwords for all children. This is a great online resource for Maths and English. Please email the teacher for the passwords.

Fine Motor Skills.

A great way to help your child to write is to build up their Fine Motor Skills. This will help them to hold and grip a pencil.

Below are some fun ways to do this at home!

Touch Type!

We know that writing is important but so is typing.

Use this time to improve your typing. I know some of the teachers will be having a go at this.

Please send work to the Y2 email address.

Week 1- 23.3.20

Our book this half term is The Day The Crayons Quit!

Here is a youtube reading of the book https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZttMDho5HMw

The children loved this book! As a task we would like the children to pick a colour to be and write Duncan a letter. Please take a picture of the letter and email it to Y2@greenhill.leeds.sch.uk. We can't wait to read the letters . smiley

Here are some ideas:

The children could be blue crayon. Blue crayon could be FED up of colouring all the oceans.

The children could be white crayon. White crayon could be SAD because Duncan never uses white crayon.

We can't wait to see them!

Children can practise the Year 1 and Year 2 common exception Words from the list in their school planners.

Below is an attachment with the list.
