Greenhill Primary Remote Teaching Offer, February 2021 update June 2021
(This statement may be updated at short/no notice, as DfE guidance changes)
At Greenhill Primary School, we are committed to teaching all our children both in school and at home. We know children learn best with short bursts of input (a maximum of 3 minutes per year of age, e.g. 10 to 15 minutes of input for a year 1 child up to 20 to 30 minutes maximum for a year 6 child ), practical and active work, repetition, challenge, and feedback. We do not believe children learn best in front of a screen for long sessions and formal schoolwork should be time-limited with regular active breaks between sessions.
If any of our class "bubbles" need to close and isolate, we will continue to set learning from home for those children. Class teachers will be speak to children weekly, and during the first conversations will be ensuring children are able to access the work we have set them. We will include all children, by differentiating the work set and by the SEND team having regular discussions with parents/carers, where our children have additional needs.
