Our Classes

At Greenhill, each class is named after a British tree species. This provides a clear and memorable structure for families and reflects our school’s connection to the natural environment. Our classes are organised as follows:

• Nursery: Acorn

• Reception: Beech & Chestnut

• Year 1: Willow & Elm

• Year 2: Silver Birch & Elder

• Year 3/4: Maple (Y3), Aspen (Y3/4) & Yew Tree (Y4)

• Year 5: Oak & Rowan

• Year 6: Holly & Hazel

Many of these tree species can also be found around our spacious school grounds, helping children make a natural link between their class identity and the world around them.
