SATs (standardised assessment tests) are performed at the end of Year 6 to ascertain a child's attainment against national expectations in reading, writing, maths. Within these tests, a child getting a scaled score of 100 or over is in line with national averages. Greater Depth is achieved by getting a higher scaled score (this changes by year) and progress is worked out as a school from KS1 results to KS2 results.
