Charging and Payments at Greenhill Primary School

At Greenhill, we aim to provide children with rich, exciting learning experiences while keeping costs to a minimum for families. Where possible, the school subsidises activities to ensure all pupils can take part. Below is an overview of the goods and services that may involve a payment, along with how to make payments.

Milk

We use Cool Milk to provide milk for children whose parents choose to opt in.

  • Milk is free for children under 5.

  • After this, it costs around £18 per term.
    All payments are made directly to Cool Milk online.

School Meals

Greenhill uses SchoolGrid for meal choices and online payment.
Parents can:

  • View menus

  • Pre-order meals

  • Pay securely online

School Trips

We believe educational visits add great value to children’s learning.
Most trips are partly subsidised by the school, and parents are asked for a voluntary contribution so we can continue offering high-quality experiences. Payments can be made via ParentMail or in cash at the school office.

No child is excluded from a trip because their family cannot contribute.

Residential and Adventurous Visits

In Key Stage 2, children are offered:

  • Outdoor pursuits activities in Year 4

  • A two-night residential visit in Year 6

We provide plenty of notice for these trips and offer instalment plans to help spread the cost. Payments can be made online through ParentMail

Clubs and After-School Activities

Many clubs are run by school staff and are free of charge, including:

  • Geography Club

  • Sports Clubs

  • Art Clubs (KS1 & KS2)

  • Dance Club

If a club is run by an external organisation or requires specialist materials, there may be a small charge. This will always be communicated in advance.

Concerts and Performances

A small charge is made for tickets to our annual productions. Money raised helps cover the cost of licenses, scripts and costumes.

PTA (FrOGS) Events

Our PTA, the Friends of Greenhill School (FrOGS), run discos and fundraising events throughout the year. These may include small charges for entry or refreshments, with all funds supporting the school.

Online Payments

We aim to be a cash-free school wherever possible.
Payments can be made online via:

  • ParentMail

  • SchoolGrid

The school office is happy to support parents with setting up online accounts.
